Mary Carmichael

Mary Carmichael is Field CISO, Western Canada at Bell Cyber, where she works with executives and boards to navigate cybersecurity, AI, and technology risk in an increasingly interconnected digital world. With more than 15 years of experience spanning audit, risk, and cybersecurity, she helps organizations understand and manage the complex dependencies created by third parties, emerging technologies, and digital ecosystems.

 

A CPA with certifications in CISA, CISM, and CRISC, Mary is also an AI & Cybersecurity Research Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University's Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, where her research focuses on third-party AI risk management.  An active leader within the ISACA community, Mary served as President of the ISACA Vancouver Chapter and currently contributes as a Global SheLeadsTech Advocate. In 2026, she received the ISACA Global Chapter Leadership Award and was recognized as an SC Media Women to Watch honouree.
