Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab is a distinguished leader in global cybersecurity, formerly serving as the CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia. He currently holds a prominent international role as a member of the Executive Board of Directors and Vice President of POLCYB, a Canadian-based organization with special consultative status at the United Nations. With over 30 years of experience across government and private sectors, he is a recognized authority on e-sovereignty and ICT development.

His career is marked by an extensive list of prestigious accolades, including the National Technologist Award 2024 and the ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA) Cyber Resilience Award. His leadership has been consistently celebrated through titles such as the 2022 World Digital Economy Distinguished Leader and the Blockchain Icon of the Year 2022. Recently, he was honored with the SME ICON Award 2025 and the AVAR CISO Path Finder Award, reflecting his enduring influence in the industry.

Dr. Amirudin’s expertise is sought after at the highest levels of policy and governance. He serves on the Advisory Board of the National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC) and is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. Globally, he has contributed to the OIC Science and Technology Committee, the APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance, and the Microsoft Asia Pacific Executive Council. His national contributions include long-standing chairmanships of ICT standards committees and board positions at AKPK and MIMOS.

Academically, he is highly accomplished, holding a PhD from the University of Queensland and Master’s degrees in both Business and IT. He bridges the gap between industry and academia as a Professorial Chair at HELP University and an Adjunct Professor at several top institutions, including UKM and UTP. A respected public figure and keynote speaker, he was conferred the title of Dato’ by the Sultan of Perak in 2016 for his significant contributions to the nation.
