Dr Sonny Zulhuda

Dr. Sonny Zulhuda is specialised in cyber law, information security law and personal data protection. In the past twenty years, his expertise and services have been sought by both government and private sectors in Malaysia and the region in the form of policy development, corporate advisory as well as training and capacity building programmes - mainly on data governance, personal data protection and data due diligence.
On national policy development, Dr Sonny was involved in the preparation of Malaysia's National Cyber Security Policy, the Review of Personal Data Protection Act, as well as the study on national cyber security legislation in Malaysia.
Dr. Sonny is currently serving as an Associate Professor and cyber law course coordinator at the Civil Law Department, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, the International Islamic University Malaysia and is a member of the Personal Data Protection Appeal Tribunal under the Ministry of Communications and Digital, Malaysia.
