
Cheryl Khor
Board Member for Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad, Hong Leong Industries Berhad and Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad.
She is a corporate governance expert, chartered accountant, internal auditor, risk expert and sustainability advocate by profession; and mathematician by training.
Cheryl is currently the lead trainer for Bursa Malaysia’s Mandatory Accreditation Programme (MAP) where she trains newly onboard directors of listed companies on corporate governance and listing requirements.
She is also a Fellow and Faculty Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). Her role as a faculty member is to provide training to directors on corporate directorship and sustainability; and a lead facilitator for Board Effectiveness Assessments by ICDM on listed companies.
Cheryl has more than 25 years of experience covering financial, operational and internal audits as well as governance, controls, sustainability, internal audit and risk assessments for clients across a broad range of industries. Specifically, she has been involved in numerous process improvements and controls transformation projects. An active contributor to the industry and with a number of published papers, Cheryl is a familiar face in numerous panels, seminars, workshops and talks on good governance, and sustainability amongst others.
