ABOUT.

The rapid advancements in technology and the emergence of new digital solutions have accelerated the digital transformation agenda. Many organizations are beginning to feel the pressure to leverage digital opportunities or risk falling behind in the competition. Along with this comes rising concerns over the risks of technology and digital adoption, including security, privacy, and technology resiliency.

The CIAG 2023 Conference will feature multiple points of view presented by our esteemed subject matter experts through various plenary, panel, and masterclass sessions. The CIAG has a strong history of bringing in subject matter experts from around the world, and this year is no exception.. The two-day event will also feature a series of sharing sessions from esteemed speakers representing both local and international perspectives.

The main conference on 23rd August will feature keynote addresses, plenary and panel discussions, while 24th August will feature concurrent management and technical masterclasses covering the latest developments in cybersecurity, IT governance, business continuity management, and assurance within the context of digital trust. These classes are designed to provide practical experiences and shared thoughts from the speakers.

Previous Editions

The preeminent Conference of the ISACA Malaysia Chapter has a rich history, beginning with its inaugural event in 2002 under the name "IT Governance Conference." At that time, the conference was organized in partnership with the Malaysian National Computer Confederation (MNCC), a valued collaborator for several years. The Conference has been an annual fixture since then, with the exception of the 2020 edition which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 19th edition, held in 2021, marked our first-ever virtual conference. This format was also used for the 20th edition in 2022, both of which were resounding successes.

In 2011, the Conference was rebranded as the "IT Governance, Assurance & Security Conference" and quickly became the premier annual conference for IT assurance, security, risk, and governance professionals. The event has always been at the forefront of innovative delivery methods, pioneering electronic approaches from partially electronic (using removable media such as CDs and customized drives to provide delegates with related materials) to fully electronic, with the introduction of mobile tablets as the delivery channel. For the past two years, we held the Conference virtually due to the pandemic. However, after receiving feedback and requests from members and sponsors, we have returned to a physical format for this year's edition.

Since 2016, the Conference has been solely organized by the ISACA Malaysia Chapter, under its current iteration as the "Cybersecurity, IT Assurance & Governance Conference" (CIAG). We are proud to have the support of thousands of delegates who have attended previous editions and the many partners, including professional organizations and sponsors from well-known organizations, throughout the years.
